#TeamTUSD: Stella Gastelum

A woman with short dark hair crosses her arms in front of the front deskStella has been part of the Mary Meredith family for 29 years, starting in the classrooms and now working in the front office. Though the transition from teaching to office work was a little tough since she’s not working directly with students anymore, she’s grateful for the chance to still see them every day and help in any way she can.

Mary Meredith is a placement school, and Stella loves the creative, resilient students here. The staff is dedicated to supporting them and helping however they can, and Stella feels privileged to be part of this amazing team. She says the staff here is fantastic, with intervention techs and teachers working together to provide the best support possible.

Outside of work, Stella enjoys spending time with her grandkids, including her 5-year-old granddaughter who will soon start kindergarten and her 1-month-old grandbaby.

Thank you for all you do, Stella! You’re a big part of what makes Mary Meredith so special.
